Meet Your Teachers

“Experts tell us that 90% of all brain development occurs by the age of five. If we don’t begin thinking about education in the early years, our children are at risk of falling behind by the time they start Kindergarten.”
– Robert. L. Ehrlich

My name is Elizabeth Schleicher. I am the Teacher Leader in our Preschool Department here at Jackson Early Childhood Center. I also teach our four day a week, four year old preschool class. I graduated from Oakland University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have completed classes towards my Masters Degree at Madonna University in both Early Childhood Education and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a son in the 5th grade at Riley Upper Elementary School and a daughter in 2nd grade, at Cass Elementary School. We have a precious, 100 pound, girl dog, named Scooby-Doo.

I have had a career in Early Childhood for ten years now.  Working with young children is a passion of mine.  When I am not at Jackson Early Childhood Center you will find me volunteering at the school where my children attend or at an in-service, trying to further my knowledge. Jackson Early Childhood Center is a fabulous learning environment full of loving, caring, and dedicated teachers.  I am thrilled to be part of such a magnificent learning environment.

Hello, my name is Pam Chlebek.

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I’m a former graphic designer and graduate of Madonna University. I’ve been married for 19 years. My husband Jeff and I have 3 great kids. Elizabeth (16), Emily (13) and Joshua (10).

We belong to St. Michael Catholic Church in Livonia and are very active in the parish. We have a small black yorkipoo named Shadow and two cats named Tink and Teddy.

All three of my kids went to preschool here at Jackson Center. Some of my favorite memories and most treasured art projects are from when my kids were here. I loved the environment and the teachers! It made such an impact on me that I started thinking about how much I would love to work here.

About two years ago, my dream started coming true.  I started subbing here and working with some of the very teachers that made an impact on me.

Now…here I am excited and thrilled to be working with Ms. Schleicher.
3’s and 4’s are the best ages…everything is new and exciting. We are going to have a great year learning and growing together!
