Meet Your Teachers

“Experts tell us that 90% of all brain development occurs by the age of five. If we don’t begin thinking about education in the early years, our children are at risk of falling behind by the time they start Kindergarten.”
– Robert. L. Ehrlich

My name is Elizabeth Schleicher. This is my sixth year at Jackson Early Childhood Center . I teach our four day a week, four year old preschool class in both the A.M. and the P.M. I graduated from Oakland University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have completed classes towards my Masters Degree at Madonna University in both Early Childhood Education and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a son in the 6th grade at Riley Upper Elementary School and a daughter in 3rd grade at Buchanan Elementary School. We have a precious, 100 pound, girl dog, named Scooby-Doo, an Albino Corn Snake named Brady Cena (after Tom Brady and John Cena) and some cool goldfish.

I have had a career in Early Childhood for eleven years now.  Working with young children is a passion of mine.  When I am not at Jackson Early Childhood Center you will find me volunteering at the school where my children attend or at an in-service, trying to further my knowledge. Jackson Early Childhood Center is a fabulous learning environment full of loving, caring, and dedicated teachers.  I am thrilled to be part of such a magnificent learning environment.
