Owl News
Welcome to Room 27 known as The Owls. I have taught in Livonia for 19 years - this is my seventh at Jackson. Previously I was the Assistant Director of the Psychology Early Childhood Program at Wayne State for 14 years. I was born and raised mostly in Livonia. I graduated from Stevenson, Wayne State and have done my post-grad work at the University of Michigan.  I have two sons who are both Franklin grads, married and reside in Livonia.  I, also, have two bonus sons (my husband's boys) who live downriver. I have four grandchildren who are the light of my life.  I have rescued a new puppy, Ivy, to join my rescue dog, Butch.  My happy place when not at school is any beach.  I am a Pure Michigan girl and love to vacation in our state, as well.  Reading is a gift I give myself everyday. My passion is the interaction I have with young minds. Providing an environment that stimulates their interest in learning about the world around them still gives me goosebumps.  I am so excited to share this school year with your children.

We say goodbye to Miss Tina as she is the new Frog room teacher. The Owl room CDAs are Miss Josephine and Miss Katie. Miss Marissa is subbing in our room while a new CDA is hired.  She will continue to sub once the new person starts the 12-6 shift. We are happy to have her filling in consistently in the afternoon.

Staff hours:
Miss Rachelle 7-3
Miss Josephine 7-1
Miss Katie 3-6
