We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Happy New Year.
We hope you had a relaxing and memorable holiday season. We have really enjoyed working with your children, and we look forward to many fun-filled adventurous days in 2017.
During the month of January, we will be visiting the arctic to explore penguins, make new snow friends, enjoy winter fun, and turn into paleontologists to learn about dinosaurs. Our January activities will include snow play (inside and outside), fine and large motor activities, art activities, and dramatic play.
We will continue to work on proper pencil grip and writing our names, cutting, and recognizing shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. We have also been working hard to learn the sound for each letter. Knowing the sounds will be important as we learn to sound out words and learn to read!
We will be hosting VIP nights in our classroom January 23rd and 25th. Your child will have the opportunity to come to a shortened class with their “very important person” on a designated evening from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Your child may select only one VIP for this event because of the limited space in our classroom. There will not be class at the regular time on that day. The schedule is as follows:
MWF A.M. class-Monday, January 23rd
MWF P.M. class-Wednesday, January 25th
