Meet Your Teachers

“Experts tell us that 90% of all brain development occurs by the age of five. If we don’t begin thinking about education in the early years, our children are at risk of falling behind by the time they start Kindergarten.”
– Robert. L. Ehrlich

My name is Elizabeth Schleicher. This is my seventh year at Jackson Early Childhood Center . I teach two classes of our three year old program. One class is on Monday/Wednesday and the other is on Tuesday/Thursday. I graduated from Oakland University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have completed classes towards my Masters Degree at Madonna University in both Early Childhood Education and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a son in 7th grade at Holmes Middle School and a daughter in 4th grade at Buchanan Elementary School. We have a precious, 100 pound, girl dog, named Scooby-Doo, a 10lb little boy named Buddy, an Albino Corn Snake named Brady Cena (after Tom Brady and John Cena) and a Russian Tortoise named Cutie Patootie.

I have had a career in Early Childhood for twelve years now.  Working with young children is a passion of mine.  When I am not at Jackson Early Childhood Center you will find me volunteering at the school where my children attend or at an in-service, trying to further my knowledge. Jackson Early Childhood Center is a fabulous learning environment full of loving, caring, and dedicated teachers.  I am thrilled to be part of such a magnificent learning environment.
