December, 2018, Newsletter

First and foremost, the staff and I would like to wish each and every one of our Jackson families a very happy holiday season!!  We consider it a gift coming to work every day to care for your children!  They are indeed life’s greatest blessing!!

We are having our annual holiday toy drive the week of December 3rd through December 7th.  There are boxes in the hallway by the doors for new unwrapped toy donations.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!

This month we will be reviewing the color red and doing activities with the star shape.

The week of December 3rd will be “Holidays around the World”.  We will be discussing traditions and doing activities for Hanukkah, Holland, Mexico, Germany and Sweden.

The week of the 10th our theme is “Deck the Halls”.  This will be a fun week for the children for we will be going to a different room every day and doing a holiday activity.  Monday we will be making a gift in the Tiger room, Tuesday will be a sensory activity in the Frog room, Wednesday is creating a card with the Owls, Thursday is Reindeer games in the Zebra room and Friday we will be cookie decorating in the Busy Bee room.

The week of the 17th is “Tis the Season”.  So many activities are planned for this week, many involving those marvelous hand and feet prints.  We will be having our annual Holiday Sing-a-Longs on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 18th and 19th at 9:30 a.m. with the entire school.

We are planning a Pajama Day and a Pizza Fun Lunch on Friday, December 21st, which is our last day before the holidays.  If you would like your child to participate, please bring in $1.50 to cover the cost of their pizza by Tuesday, December 18th.

We will be open for contracted holiday care on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, January 2nd through the 4th.

Have a safe and happy holiday!!
